Is the YouTube transcript generator really free?
Yes. Transcribing a YouTube video that has captions is free and does not require an account. Free users can transcribe up to 20 videos a day; paid plans remove that limit.
What if the video has no captions?
Upload the audio or video file instead: our AI transcribes it with timestamps. Free accounts get 30 minutes a month; Pro gets 600.
How accurate is the AI transcription?
We use Whisper-class speech recognition with automatic punctuation and language detection. On clear audio, accuracy is typically above 95%. You can edit any word inline.
Which formats can I export?
TXT, SRT and VTT on every plan; PDF, DOCX and JSON on Pro and Business.
Which languages are supported?
Transcription works in more than 90 languages. The interface is available in English, French, Spanish, German and Arabic.
What happens to my files?
Uploaded files are deleted automatically after 24 hours (free), 30 days (Pro) or 90 days (Business). You can delete a transcript at any time.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed in the Stripe customer portal: upgrade, downgrade or cancel in one click, invoices included.
